What is available

• Tank cap, gloss (03FE00410016LG) or matt (03FE00410016LM);
• Front air vents, top and bottom (03FE12310012LG);
• Front air ducts (03FE12310011LG).

The front vents and ducts are what make the F8 nose look finished in carbon: the openings Ferrari left in body colour are the ones that catch the eye from the front three-quarter view.

How the carbon is made

Capristo lays the prepreg by hand in its own billet steel moulds, cures the parts in an autoclave and finishes them with a hand applied clear coat, using the Type L weave Ferrari itself uses. Carbon does not corrode and has low material fatigue, which suits parts in the airflow at the front of the car.

Good to know

• The tank cap part number is shared with other Ferrari models, so order by fitment rather than by car name;
• Mounting hardware is included and the factory fixing points are used;
• Gloss and matt are separate part numbers where both are offered;
• The vents and ducts do not change the opening cross-section, so cooling airflow is unaffected.
