Carbon parts for the Ferrari 488 Spider, built around the engine bonnet Design W with vents and safety glass - the part that changes the look of the car from behind more than anything else, since the Spider leaves the factory with a closed cover.

What is available

• Engine bonnet Design W with vents and safety glass, gloss (03FE08710013LG) or matt (03FE08710013LM);
• Engine compartment panels, left and right, gloss (03FE08710026LG) or matt (03FE08710026LM);
• Tailgate Design S in raw carbon (03FE08710012).

The raw carbon tailgate is supplied unlacquered, which is the right choice if the car is going to be painted in body colour or finished by a specialist to a particular gloss level.

How the carbon is made

Prepreg layers are hand-laid into Capristo's own moulds, cured in an autoclave or press and lacquered by hand, in the weave the car manufacturer itself uses. The glass in the bonnet is safety glass, so the engine stays visible with the roof up as well.

Good to know

• Mounting hardware is included with each position;
• The bonnet replaces the original cover and uses the factory hinges and catches;
• Gloss and matt are separate part numbers;
• Panels and bonnet can be ordered separately.

Capristo Automotive GmbH has built carbon parts and exhaust systems for Ferrari since 1990.
