Carbon parts for the Ferrari 458 Italia. Capristo covers the engine bay and the exterior details of the car with one family of parts, each available in gloss or matt lacquer.

What is available

• Air box cover;
• Mirror case set, left and right;
• Engine bay front and side covers;
• Lock cover;
• Front wings set, left and right;
• Tank cap.

Each position has two part numbers: LG for gloss lacquer, LM for matt. Mixing finishes on one car is possible, but the parts look best when the whole engine bay follows one of them.

How the carbon is made

Capristo uses the same weave as the car manufacturer, so the parts sit next to factory carbon without a visible difference in pattern. Several layers of prepreg fabric are laid by hand into in-house moulds and cured in an autoclave or a press, then lacquered. Carbon does not corrode and has low material fatigue, which matters for parts that live next to a hot V8.

Good to know

• Mounting hardware is included and the parts use the factory fixing points;
• The covers replace the original panels rather than sitting over them;
• Specify gloss or matt when ordering, the finish is not interchangeable later.

Capristo Automotive GmbH has built carbon parts and exhaust systems for Ferrari since 1990.
