Carbon side fin set for the Ferrari 488 GTB and Spider. The set contains the left and right fins together with their adaptors and is offered in gloss or matt lacquer.

What it is

The fins sit in the side air intakes ahead of the rear wheels, the area that defines the 488 profile. Capristo supplies the adaptors with them, so the fins locate correctly in the original intake rather than being fixed by guesswork.

How the carbon is made

Layers of prepreg are hand-laid into Capristo's own moulds, cured in an autoclave or press and lacquered by hand. The weave matches the fabric the car manufacturer uses, so the parts sit next to factory carbon without a difference in pattern.

Before you order

Check which finish the rest of the carbon on your car uses: gloss fins next to matt intakes are the mismatch owners notice first. If the car already wears Capristo parts, order the same lacquer.

• Two part numbers: LG gloss, LM matt;
• Adaptors and mounting hardware are included;
• A visual part - the intake cross-section is not altered, so cooling is unaffected;
• Fits the GTB and the Spider; the Pista uses a different side treatment.
