Equilibrium Tuning, Inc. (EQT) is an American company based in Suisun City, California. It develops calibrations and its own hardware for Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Subaru, Honda and Ford vehicles.

About EQT: an American VAG and Porsche tuner

EQT's story began in 2003, when founder Ed Sussman - then a university student - taught himself to calibrate the engine in his Subaru WRX. Friends from the Subaru community soon became his first customers.

In 2008 Equilibrium Tuning opened a full installation, tuning and service facility in Fairfield, California, and over time expanded its platform list to Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Toyota and others.

Today the company focuses on calibrations for a range of platforms and on its own hardware, designed and manufactured by its R&D department.

EQT's main focus is MQB platform cars with 1.8T/2.0T engines from the EA888 family. The range includes EQT's own components, for example:

•           EQT IS38+ and EQT Vortex XL turbochargers for VW/Audi MQB 1.8T/2.0T;

•           Discharge Pipe Kit;

•           Euro Intake Manifold with MPI provision;

•           5 bar TMAP sensor;

•           Coil Grounding Kit for the EA888.3.

VW and Audi models covered by EQT products include:

•           Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R (Mk7 and Mk8), GLI, Golf, Sportwagen and Alltrack 1.8T (Mk7);

•           Audi S3 (8V and 8Y), A3 (8V), TT and TTS (8S);

•           Audi S4, S5 and SQ5 3.0T (B9).

It makes sense to pair an EQT turbo with an upsized intercooler - on the EA888, stock charge-air cooling is the first thing to run out of headroom.

For Porsche, EQT covers the 911 (991.1, 991.2 and 992), 718 Boxster and Cayman (982), Cayenne (9Y0) and Macan (95B.1, 95B.2 and 95B.3).
